FORGET your swimming costume or trunks. Swimmers are being urged to take a dip in their underwear to raise awareness of mental health issues.

Swim in Yer Pants for Mental Health will take place at Boscombe Pier on December 10 at 11.30am. The event is to raise funds towards a new natural health centre that will offer holistic, alternative, complimentary therapies and classes for those with mental health issues as well as a health food bar. People who donate more than £40 will receive a free one-hour massage. Swimmers are invited to meet at beach hut number 472. Tea and cake will be available for a donation. For more details, search Swim in Yer Pants for Mental Health on Facebook. A Justgiving page has been set up by Amy Moule to raise £500,000 for the new centre.
