Bournemouth Airport enters a new chapter after it was sold to Regional and City Airports for an undisclosed sum.
Flights to Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt could be on the cards, the new owner has said.
The airport opened as RAF Hurn in 1941 and began commercial services in the late 1950s.
Last year it handled 700,000 passengers, the majority using Ryanair and TUI services.
Today we take a look back at how the airport has changed and the famous planes (and faces) that have visited throughout the years.
