WITH a host of festive and not so festive classics the Mother Ukers, youngsters from Shine Bright Like a Star Academy and stars of panto Jack in the Beanstalk, including S Club 7's Rachel Stevens, led the celebrations at this year’s Bournemouth Christmas Lights switch-on.
Mayor Lawrence Williams did the honours this evening, before a large and lively crowd in the Triangle.
This year’s centrepiece was a giant illuminated teddy bear, but the lights were quite a sight down in the Square, to which locale many revellers embarked after the show, to enjoy the new market and alpine bar.
