DETAILS of Remembrance Day services in Christchurch have been released.

Remembrance Sunday takes place on Sunday November 12, with three public services taking place in Christchurch.

The first is at Purewell Cross Memorial at 9.15am.

Then, at 9.50am, a Remembrance Day parade will leave the Royal British Legion in Bargates, Christchurch and move through the High Street to Christchurch Priory.

There wreaths will be laid before a two minute silence at 11am.

The parade will then return to the Legion and the Mayor will take a salute from the Mayor's Parlour in Saxon Square as it passes.

An afternoon service will take place at St Mark's Parish Church in Highcliffe at 3pm.

The procession will leave at 2.50pm with wreath laying at the War Memorial.

Poppy Appeal volunteers will be in Waitrose, Christchurch until Saturday November 11 with poppies on sale in cafes, churches, pubs, schools and shops throughout the borough.
