MOREBUS is once again showing its support for the Royal British Legion by ensuring its buses display a poppy this November.

The bus operator is continuing its aim to raise money and awareness for the Poppy Appeal, in support of all members of the nation’s armed forces, past and present.

Managing director Andrew Wickham said: "People in this region are rightfully proud of our country’s military - as is the team here in Bournemouth and Poole.

“For a number of years now, we have been showing our support for our servicemen and women. And as a part of this community, this is very important to all of us at Morebus.

“We will be helping to raise funds on buses during November, and we hope, by proudly displaying our poppies and raising awareness for this worthwhile cause, we’re backing our words with actions.

“Our drivers will also be pulling over at 11am on November 11, if it’s safe to do so, as a mark of respect to observe the two minutes’ silence," he added.

The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s annual fundraising initiative, culminating in Armistice Day commemorations on November 11.
