PEOPLE in Poole have been asked for their views on life in the town and what they think about local council services.

Some 6,000 households have received the 2017 Shaping Poole Survey, giving people an opportunity to rate the overall performance of the council and say how they feel about living in Poole.

Results of the survey will help the council to make the right decisions about local services.

The survey was sent to a random selection of Poole addresses in early September.

Anyone aged 16 or over living at the address can complete the survey, which covers topics such as: the performance of the council; satisfaction with local services, including bin collections, parks, libraries, and bus services; community safety, and health and wellbeing.

Cllr Janet Walton, leader of the council, said: “We really value feedback from our residents. This survey will help the council understand what is important to Poole people at a time when our budgets for local services are under such pressure.

“The survey is a valuable opportunity for people to influence how services are delivered in Poole and should only take about 15 minutes to complete. We appreciate the time people give to share their views and encourage as many people as possible to complete and return their questionnaire so that the results reflect Poole as a whole.”

The survey can be returned by freepost or completed online. All individual responses will be treated in confidence.

The deadline to complete the Shaping Poole Survey is October 31. The survey results will be published in early 2018.
