A YOUNG bus enthusiast was offered the chance to have a go in the driving seat during a visit to Poole bus station.
Samuel Schofield, 12, who has autism, was invited to meet the Morebus team and take a look around the bus depot.
His mum, Nicola, said: “Samuel loves buses and always has done. He never turns down an opportunity to travel on the bus for enjoyment, and he’s been going through a tough time of late, so Morebus stepped in to make his day.
“Visiting Morebus in Poole really was an amazing experience for him - and he made some wonderful memories. I would like to thank the team there for their brilliant hospitality.”
Joe Quinlan, Morebus marketing executive, said: “It was an absolute pleasure welcoming Samuel to our depot here in Poole. He showed real enthusiasm when our depot engineer Kevin explained his role and gave him a tour.
“I’m glad Samuel had such a great time, and hope to see him again in the future.”
