DEFENDER Charlie Daniels said he was undaunted by Cherries’ trip to Stoke – in comparison with some of his previous awaydays in the Football League.

The 31-year-old made more than 100 appearances for Leyton Orient before signing for Cherries when they were in League One.

And the left-back claimed there were some uncompromising tests on the road during the club’s rise through the divisions.

Giving his thoughts ahead of the clash at the bet365 Stadium (3pm), Daniels told the Daily Echo: “Everyone says it is a horrible place to play but they obviously haven’t been to some League One or League Two grounds.

“There are some horrible places to go there.

“For us, it will be a great test and one we are looking to get a positive result from.

“They have outstanding players and it will be up to us as defenders to nullify their threats and expose their weaknesses.”

He added: “We just need one positive result and then, hopefully, we can kick on from there.”

Stoke have picked up seven of their eight Premier League points at home this season.

The Potters have sealed home victories over Arsenal and Southampton, as well as a draw with Manchester United.
