A SCHOOL bus driver suffered injuries during a road rage incident in North Dorset.
Dorset Police were called to an incident on the A30 at Sherborne at 8.37am on Thursday, October 12.
The incident involved a Nippy Bus double-decker school bus and a black BMW 1 Series.
It was reported that the driver of the car came out of his vehicle and entered the bus before hitting the victim.
The bus driver sustained facial injuries and a wound to his arm and was taken to hospital.
Detective Constable Rhys Griffiths, of Western CID, said: “I would like to reassure the public that none of the school children on the bus were physically affected by the incident and we have made a number of enquiries today to establish what exactly happened.
“I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who witnessed the driving of either vehicle prior to the incident, to come forward and contact police.”
A 24-year-old man from the Yeovil area has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
