PLANS to build six houses on land in Burton near Christchurch have been submitted to the council.
It follows a previous application for 10 houses on the land off Preston Lane in Burton, which was refused earlier this year.
The six houses would have carports and an access road would also be built, should the plans be approved.
The site lies outside the designated green belt and in principle "is suitable for infill housing development", a statement from the developers says.
"The layout and design maximises the potential for landscaping and planting within the development while safeguarding important peripheral hedgerows to maintain and enhance the rural setting.
"Individual dwellings have been designed to reflect and promote local distinctiveness and a sense of place", the statement adds.
