CHERRIES defender Jordan Lee is expected to make his return to loan club Torquay United next month.

The 20-year-old had been ruled out of action indefinitely at the beginning of August after suffering chest pains.

Lee was set to return to the Gulls at the end of September but is now expected to undergo further testing as a precaution ahead of his comeback.

A statement on the Torquay website said: “He is now going to be training with Bournemouth for another couple of weeks to run through further testing. This is purely as a precaution.

“His return is now expected to take place on October 9.”

Lee, who has featured twice for Cherries in the FA Cup, comes from Ferndown and has been on the club's books since he was 12.

He is in his second loan spell with the Devon club and has made 11 appearances for them.
