LANE closures will be implemented along Poole's Longfleet Road next month - while carriageway resurfacing work takes place
The first closure is scheduled for the southbound side, from Poole Hospital's emergency entrance to Elizabeth Road, from 7pm on Monday, October 16, until approximately 2am on Tuesday, October 17.
Then, from 7.30am, Tuesday, October 17, a northbound lane closure will be implemented from Elizabeth Road to the Shah of Persia traffic light junction.
A Borough of Council (BOP) spokesman explained: "The lane closures - traffic will only be permitted to travel in one direction) -are required for carriageway resurfacing.
"Some footway resurfacing will also be carried out including a new shared footway and cycleway facility from Fernside Road to Green Park."
Emergency access to Poole Hospital will be maintained throughout the works.
"Pedestrian access will be provided throughout and directly affected residents will be contacted prior to the works being implemented," explained the spokesman.
"Please contact bus operators for details of changes to bus services. We thank everyone for their patience for what is expected to be a busy time."
BOP says the work should only start after the work in Mount Pleasant Road is completed.
