CARERS who go out of their way to improve the lives of others will be celebrated at the Daily Echo Proud to Care Awards.
An awards ceremony will be held in November to celebrate all the good work going on in the care industry across Dorset and the New Forest.
We are urging our readers to nominate in a total of 12 categories.
Proud to Care is being held in conjunction with Bournemouth and Poole councils and we are also seeking sponsors for each of the categories.
Nu Staff has chosen to sponsor the Young Carer of the Year Award.
Managing Director Peter Still said: "I chose this category as I want to celebrate the wonderful work done by young carer and to encourage more young people to understand that caring is a valid option for an important and rewarding career.
"By choosing home caring young people can make a positive and beneficial effect to other people by helping to promote independence and wellbeing.
"It appears that all too often young people are overlooked and under-valued by today's society."
Shortlisted nominees and their guests will be invited to a ceremony at the Hamworthy Club on November 7 where the winners will be announced. Entry closes on October 7.
