TWO post offices remain shut almost a month from when they first became unavailable.

Kinson Post Office, at Wimborne Road, has not been in operation since mid-August, and West Hill Post Office, at Commercial Road, has also not been able to offer post office services.

The retail store at West Hill remains fully operational.

No information has been given on when post office services will resume at both locations.

A Post Office spokesperson said: “Kinson and West Hill Post Offices closed temporarily on August 15 due to operational reasons.

"We are working hard to restore Post Office services to the area as soon as possible.

"We apologise for any inconvenience during the temporary closure of these branches.

"Alternative branches for Kinson are Bearwood and Cunningham Crescent and nearby branches to West Hill are Bournemouth and Westbourne.”

The Post Office previously confirmed that both branches have the same postmaster.

Meanwhile, Ferndown Post Office, which was closed for more than a month earlier this year is looking for a permanent postmaster.

A Post Office spokesperson, said: “Ferndown Post Office has been run by a temporary postmaster since the branch re-opened on August 9.

"We are looking for a permanent solution. The vacancy has been advertised on our website www.runapostoffice.co.uk"
