The Daily Echo's first ever pet show, Pet Nation, comes to Kingston Maurward College on Saturday. There will be up to 40 exhibitors and a dog show, which is being overseen by Margaret Green Animal Rescue, starts at 11am. Classes and dog demonstrations will include the Most Handsome Dog, the Waggiest Tail, the Best Trick and Best Child Handler.

Ringwood Carnival returns for the 68th year in a row this Saturday. The day of celebration and events features two processions, live music, entertainment, fun fair and fireworks. The first procession takes place at 2pm, with the illuminated evening procession at 7.15pm.

The 23rd annual Bournemouth Pavilion Wedding Fair takes place on the weekend of September 16-17, with some 70 exhibitors expected including bridal and menswear, venues, photography, stationery, accessories and more.

Pierfest returns to Bournemouth Pier on Sunday for the second year. The event, in aid of Hospital Radio Bedside, will see stalls lined along the pier, live music, face painting, entertainment, discounted zip wire rides and much more.

There's a rare chance to look round Smedmore House at Kimmeridge, Wareham on Sunday. This beautiful house is in a stunning setting, nestled in the Purbeck hills. There will be cream teas and cakes, classic cars, stalls, house tours and music. Money will be raised for a new Kimmeridge childrens' playground. Tiger Day VIII takes place at the Tank Museum, Bovington, on Saturday. This is your last chance in 2017 to see Tiger 131 make an appearance in the arena. All the action takes place between 9am and 6pm
