A SCHOOL has been targeted by mindless vandals four times during the summer holidays.

Staff from St Clements and St John's Infants School in Boscombe say the vandals have trashed classrooms, damaged sheds and vital school equipment, including a classroom for students requiring special help.

Headteacher, Andy Poole, said staff have voluntarily turned up at the school in St Clements Gardens on Friday morning to help with the latest clear-up.

It comes after the building was first targeted two weeks ago, with sports equipment left strewn around the playground, the lock to the shed broken and windows smashed as well as graffiti.

This happened again just last week, with children's scooters damaged and left over the playground, and the garage broken into as well.

The latest incident saw the mobile classroom targeted, which is where those who need extra help go to study.

Boxes of cereal have been strewn around the room, the fire alarm smashed off, mess left in the toilets and a broom shoved through a window.

Mr Poole said: "It doesn't look like anything has even been taken. It's just pure vandalism.

"The mobile classroom has such lovely equipment in. It's a really nice place for students to be and they've just messed it all up.

"The worst thing about this all is, they haven't done it to us, it's the kids who suffer out of this."

He added: "We are upping our security measures and will be increasing our CCTV."

Mr Poole said the police have been informed and pictures passed onto the investigating officers. The school also has CCTV.

"We've got a good relationship with the community. If anyone has information, please pass it onto the police, we would be really grateful."
