A MAN has been arrested after allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs.
Officers from Dorset Police's No Excuse team stopped the driver of a flatbed truck in Christchurch on Wednesday night.
The vehicle had been reported to be involved in a number of traffic incidents across Bournemouth and Christchurch and was targeted as part of Operation Dragoon – Dorset Police’s approach to tackling the most dangerous road users.
Once stopped the driver provided a positive drugwipe for cannabis and was arrested.
According to the No Excuse team the driver admitted to regularly smoking cannabis in the evenings.
He has been released under investigation while the blood sample is being analysed.
