A BRAND new sports bar is due to open its doors at The Parkstone Club in the heart of Ashley Cross next week.

The bar, situated on the first floor of the club and is aptly named The Pub in the Club and will be opened next Friday evening by Poole Town FC manager, Tom Killick.

Club Secretary Celia Herbert said: “The committee are looking forward to meeting new and old members.

"This is a great opportunity for us to introduce the sports bar Pub in the Club which is currently the only sports bar in the Ashley Cross area.

"We will be showing all sports including football and rugby matches along with snooker, golf, tennis and any other major sporting events."

She added: "We are introducing three newly refurbished snooker tables, two dartboards and two new pool tables. The bar will be stocked with a tasteful selection of beverages including a wide range of ales and lagers."

The Parkstone Club offers Saturday night entertainment and dinner, with a carvery on a Sunday lunchtime and hot food on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday lunch times. There is a quiz on the first Wednesday of every month and bingo on the third Wednesday of every month with food provided.

There will also be a meat draw every Friday night. The club also has its own darts team, snooker and pool teams.
