DORSET’S Georgia Hall made it two wins out of three so far in this year’s Solheim Cup, after once again triumphing alongside Anna Nordqvist in the morning foursomes.
Having sealed victory on Friday morning of the match play event at Des Moines Golf & Country Club, the duo teamed up once again today to secure a 2&1 victory over America’s Stacy Lewis and Gerina Piller.
After winning the opening hole to go one up, Hall and Nordqvist then fell behind as the US duo recorded back-to-back birdies on holes four and five.
But wins on the sixth, 10th and 13th holes ensured the European pairing brought the point home for their team in Iowa, in a session that was level at 2-2 overall.
Wimborne-based Hall will now partner Scotland’s Catriona Matthew in the afternoon fourballs against the US pair of Cristie Kerr and Lexi Thompson.
America currently lead the overall standings 7½-4½.
Hall’s inclusion in the final fourballs means she will feature in every session of the match overall.
