FIRE crews tackled a fire at a block of student housing in Bournemouth.
Six fire engines were called to Lyme Regis House, above Tesco Express in Holdenhurst Road at 2.15pm.
Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to put out a fire on the tenth floor of the building, as well as six breathing apparatus and two main lines.
Crews from Springbourne, Redhill, Westbourne, Christchurch, Poole, and Hamworthy were called after black smoke was seen issuing from the building.
Police officers closed the road at St Paul's Roundabout while the crews worked to put out the fire, which was out in less than an hour.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was unknown what caused the fire at this stage.
