DOGS and cats at a rescue centre in Dorset are in need of forever homes.
Margaret Green Animal Rescue is hoping to re-home a number of pets including a former racing greyhound called Joe.
The four-year-old pooch is described by rescue staff as a “friendly, easy-going boy who is affectionate and loving”.
Charlie, a “striking” three-year-old greyhound, also used to be a racer but is now looking for a home where he can rest his paws and be a family dog.
He is described as a “sociable chap” who would not mind a home with another sight hound.
Dash, a Deerhound cross, is almost two years old and loves to run and “zoom around”.
He is described as “very handsome”, a “sweetheart” and a “gentle giant who craves cuddles and playtime”.
Three cats are also hoping to find new homes this week.
Nine-year-old Murka needs re-homing as her owner had to go into a hospice.
She could possibly live with older children but would need to meet them first.
Shizmae is six years old. He is a “sweet lad”, according to rescue staff, but also enjoys his own space.
He would be happiest in a home where he is the only pet but should be fine to live with older children.
India, who is around eight years old, was a stray up until recently. She is a “timid girl” but loves a fuss once she gets to know you.
