A MAN was airlifted from cliffs at Durlston Country Park on Wednesday after becoming trapped.
A Coastguard spokesman said: “We received calls reporting someone stuck half way up the cliffs near Durlston. We sent the Swanage and the St Alban’s Head coastguard rescue teams, who assessed the situation.
“They felt the safest method of extraction would be via helicopter.
“Our coastguard helicopter from Lee-on-Solent attended and airlifted the man to safety.”
The casualty was safely reunited with his family.
