Steer clear of Herbert Avenue, Poole council warns
POOLE council is advising motorists to steer clear of a busy road after a crash.
The junction of Herbert Avenue and Alder Hills was the site of a single vehicle crash at around 2.20pm this afternoon, which saw a car hit a lamp post.
Police logs record no injuries, however there was damage to street furniture and officers were at the scene until 3.45pm while the vehicle was recovered.
Council engineers have been notified.
In a Tweet, the authority said: "There's been a traffic collision at the junction of Alder Road & Herbert Avenue. Please expect some delays if you are travelling in the area."
