A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has died after suffering a medical episode while at a house in Verwood.

The teenager from Poole, who has been named locally as Bradley Johnson, died at an address in Summer Fields in the very early hours of Friday morning.

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were all called to the scene around midnight following reports of a possible cardiac arrest.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Officers attended and despite the best efforts of police officers and paramedics, the boy was very sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“His family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.

“The boy’s death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.”

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said three rapid response vehicles, one double crew ambulance, and the air ambulance were sent to the scene.

A police cordon was still at the scene Friday afternoon. Police tape was blocking off the house and one police car was parked outside.

Neighbours said they saw police cars and ambulances arriving at the property until 4am Friday morning.

One neighbour, who lived opposite the house, called it a “very sad” and a “tragic incident”.

“I didn’t know who the young man was. The family haven’t lived in the property very long and I believe they have daughters,” she added.

“But it’s so very sad to hear what’s happened especially to someone so young. My thoughts are with his friends and family.”

Meanwhile friends of Bradley have paid tribute to the popular teenager on social media.

Messages included: “Going to miss you you cheeky chappy. Only the best get taken young.”

Others left broken heart and angel symbols as well as ‘rest in peace’ messages.

One friend wrote “I love you Bradley Johnson, fly high my angel.”

While another said “Heaven has gained another angel, but taken way too soon! Love you mate.”
