BOURNEMOUTH'S Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) is looking for a new chief operating officer.

The not-for-profit company is searching for an experienced business leader, with extensive communication skills, to deliver an ambitious five year plan to enhance the trading environment and profile of the town centre.

Chairman Martin Davis said: "We are looking for an individual who has the creativity, ambition and drive to make the town centre an even better place than it is at the moment.

"We have had a very productive five year period where the BID achieved countless successes.

"We hope the successful candidate will bring a fresh approach and provide the leadership and strategic direction to deliver the 2017-2022 business plan."

The BID said £3 million worth of investment into the town centre by local businesses have enabled the it to implement a wide variety of projects since 2012. The town is among the fastest growing economies in the UK.

The BID is looking for a "skilful business professional as well as a dynamic and experienced manager" who will control the budget of £625,000, with a salary "commensurate with the role".
