A BID to create another 'escape room' attraction in Bournemouth has been submitted.

Wareham firm U-Escape Ltd wants to set up on the ground and basement floors of the empty building at 1-3 Poole Hill, which sits on the corner with West Hill Road, near the Goat and Tricycle pub.

There are flats above the building and those opposite.

Earlier this year Escape Rooms Quest! was granted planning permission to open at 86a Charminster Avenue, a laundrette, despite reservations from planning officers over the loss of retail space.

The MacGuffin Project escape room in the former Dusk Till Dawn nightclub in Old Christchurch Road opened in May.

According to U-Escape director Jodie King, in the firm's application, the building has had a noise assessment and is adequately soundproofed. The plans show the two floors subdivided into four separate escape rooms.

The 'Crystal Maze' like puzzles are becoming a popular urban attraction for groups.
