THE badly decomposed remains of a Bournemouth woman had to be identified by dental records, an inquest heard.

Emergency services were called to a flat in Southcote Road on April 25 after concerns were raised about the welfare of Loretta Lines, the Bournemouth inquest was told.

Dorset coroner Rachael Griffin heard that staff at a local pharmacy had raised concerns after being unable to deliver prescriptions to the 58-year-old's home. A strong smell had been noticed coming from her flat.

The cause of Mrs Lines' death remains unascertained despite a post mortem examination and the coroner heard there are no suspicious circumstances.

The inquest was adjourned until November 10.
