FANS affected by the cancellation of the Olly Murs concert due to be held in Bournemouth next month say they're "back to disappointment" after the pop star offered a chance for fans to attend one of two further shows.

On the day it was announced there would be an opportunity to attend performances in Swansea and Portsmouth instead, some of those with tickets for King's Park said they felt angry, disappointed and confused.

Tanya Moss, of Ferndown, bought tickets in December. She is on a course of chemotherapy.

"I was really looking forward to going," she said.

"I am undergoing chemotherapy at the moment - it was such a fight to apply to take chairs and arrange disabled parking."

Tanya, who says she is "quite ill with bone marrow cancer", has been told she will not receive a refund.

"Travelling to Swansea or Portsmouth is not an option for me," she said.

"These companies that just go into liquidation need to be questioned more.

"Where has the money gone?

"I'm fighting cancer, trying to stay positive, and these people just carry on with their lives as normal."

Emma Young, of Christchurch, bought six tickets for the Bournemouth concert and is unable to make either of the alternatives due to prior arrangements booked for the summer holidays.

She said: "I'm not sure why Olly couldn't have stuck to the original dates and venues.

"Between my friend and I, we have 10 tickets. I booked on a credit card, so my money will be returned, but it'll take 60 days once it's all been processed.

"It was the best part of £300 to book tickets, so if we want to do something else instead, I'm out of pocket for some time."

Samantha Jeanes, who works at a Southampton solicitors, said she was "really excited" by the announcement that tickets can be exchanged but added: "It appears impossible to swap the tickets."

Samantha contacted a company used by concert organisers Stephen C Associates to manage ticket purchase.

However, she said representatives from the company told her there was nothing that could be done.

"The small glimmer of hope was short-lived," she said.

"I was really excited to be able to tell me daughter that her Christmas present was available again, but it's not the case, so we're back to disappointment."
