OLLY Murs has offered Bournemouth fans left disappointed by the cancellation of a planned concert an opportunity to attend one of two other shows.

The shows are in Swansea and Portsmouth.

The pop star was set to perform at King's Park on Saturday, August 5, as part of a series of open-air performances being held across the country this summer.

However, last week a statement was released by organisers Stephen C Associates, which announced the company had gone bust and refunds would not be offered for the cancelled performance.

Fans were left disappointed and out of pocket and called on Murs to take matters into his own hands and help out his fans.

On Friday, the former X Factor star tweeted to say he and his team were "working on something".

This morning, in a message posted to his Twitter feed, Murs said: "After these shows were cancelled when the promoter went into liquidation, I know you were all upset and left out of pocket!

"We tried to find a way of still doing the shows or rescheduling them, but ended up facing too many obstacles, and we couldn't risk letting you down again.

"So together with my management, agent and promoters of my other summer shows, we have come up with the most viable solution so I can still hopefully see most of you!

"Anyone that hasn't been offered a refund from their original ticketing company can get their ticket swapped with a replacement one to either of the following shows:

"Saturday, August 12. Singleton Park, Swansea or

"Sunday, August 27, Victorious Festival, Portsmouth.

"For those of you that have been told you'll be refunded from the ticket agency, you will still be offered special offer tickets to either of these.

"All of the ticket issuers will be able to give you full details.

"I know I'm asking you to travel to new locations, and it's far from ideal, but we've really tried to make something work and I hope I can see loads of you at these other shows.

"Much love always,

"Olly x."

In a further statement released to the press, Murs said: "What happened was no fault of our own, but I felt a responsibility to my fans.

"We've come up with what we believe to best the best option available and hope that most of the fans affected can attend the other shows.

"I'd really like my fans who have been disappointed by these cancellations to be able to see a show, and am really grateful to Swansea and Victorious gigs for their support.

"I really hope to see lots of you there."

Tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Fans are urged to contact their ticket issuers as soon as possible to receive full details of the options available to them.
