DORSET'S popular Indian food festival is set to entertain to Poole to raise money for Forest Holme Hospice.
The Dorset Indian Mela takes place in Poole Park from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday, August 26, promising fun for all the family in a celebration of Indian culture, cuisine and heritage.
Offering the opportunity to travel the diverse tastes of India from a wide selection of food stalls, it will also feature handicraft stalls, henna painting, and entertainment in the form of dancing and live music.
Bibin Venuanth, from the Dorset Indian Mela committee, said: “Following the success of last year’s event, we are delighted to be bringing the Indian communities of Dorset together to present our second Indian food festival.
India has many diverse cultures and I would be delighted for local people to join us to taste many of our traditional dishes, music and dance. By providing entertainment for all of the family we hope to generously support the 1,000 patients and families Forest Holme Hospice cares for each year.”
