Singer songwriter Frank Turner put on a last-minute show in Bournemouth for hundreds of disappointed Blink 182 fans last night.

Frank was due to support the pop punk trio on Monday night at the BIC.

But the sold out show was cancelled due to band illness.

A statement issued on Monday morning said: "It is with deep regret that Blink-182 have to cancel their show this evening at Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) due to band illness, on doctors advice.

"Refunds will be available from point of purchase. The shows at the 02 in London will go ahead as planned."

The Winchester-born singer and his crew arranged the show at the Old Fire Station which was put together in a matter of hours in an act of good will.

Ted Lamb, who sent in these pictures of the show, said: "Frank and his team did an amazing job of sorting out the venue and still put on a great show despite the huge set back."

Some fans were left disappointed they were unable to get into the venue which has capacity for 800 people.

However, many were quick to praise the troubadour for arranging the gig at such short notice.

Support came in the form of a solo performance by The Front Bottoms who have been opening for Blink 182 on their UK tour.

Entry was free for Blink 182 ticket holders from 6pm.

Blink 182's tour continues on Wednesday at the London 02.
