Police closed a road near Bournemouth Airport on Saturday afternoon due to a fallen tree.
The B3073 is still closed between A338 and Bournemouth Airport due to the fallen tree and damaged power cables.
Police were called at 3.11pm on Saturday, with Dorset Traffic Police tweeting a picture of the damaged tree, saying the road was likely to be closed for at least six hours.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said they chased the local authority who had been tasked to deal with the clear-up at 8.47am on Sunday.
The road remains closed with SSE engineers on the scene.
