ANIMALS in Dorset are in need of forever homes.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue, which has two shelters in the county, is hoping to re-home the cats, dogs and rabbits in its care.

Murka, a nine-year-old cat, needs a new home after her owner had to go into a hospice.

She would need to be the only pet but might be able to live with older children.

Missie, 10, is described as “very independent” and, while she likes to be around humans, she prefers not to be petted too much. She would need to be the only pet and could not live with children.

Peter is two years old and looking for a forever home with his sister Luna. They are a “very happy” pair of rabbits, according to Margaret Green.

Two greyhounds and a Staffie are also in need of homes.

Billy, a three-year-old greyhound, is described as a “very stunning, large boy” who enjoys nothing more than play time and running around.

He would be happy living with another dog and young children, but not with cats or small furry animals.

Nicky, a four-year-old greyhound, loves cuddles and running around. She would be happy to live with another dog, older children, but not with cats or small furry animals.

Finally, Peanut, an 11-year-old Staffie, is described as a “sweet, playful girlie” who loves toys and cuddles. She is still very active for her age.

She would need to be the only pet and could live with older children.
