BOURNEMOUTH Airport says they don't charge people for bags, after a study said they were one of a handful of airports that do.

Passengers have to put all hand luggage liquids, including beauty products, baby milk and medicines. in a clear plastic bag before walking through security controls.

The bags have to be transparent, re-sealable and measure approximately 20cm x 20cm or smaller. The strict specifications mean most passengers pick up their bags at the airport.

The study from the Civil Aviation Authority said they were one of a number of airports that charge for bags.

Bournemouth, Durham Tees Valley, Belfast International, London Luton and East Midlands International provide two bags for £1, the information said.

But a spokesperson for the Airport said they do not charge passengers for bags.
