1.An interactive summer dance festival that wants to get everyone moving is underway this week. Discover, Play, Dream: Dance! is a Pavilion Dance South West (PDSW) project, supported by Arts Council England and Arts University Bournemouth. Most events free to attend.

2. Opera fans will be able to see La Boheme: Live from Taormina in Sicily, on the big screen at the Regent in Christchurch on Wednesday 5 July 7.30pm.

3. Celebrity chef Raymond Blanc will be in town for the opening of his new Brasserie Blanc at the Marriott Highcliff Hotel on Wednesday, July 5.

4. Around 450 pupils will take part in the Teach Trust Summer Concert at Lighthouse, Poole on Wednesday, July 5 at 7pm.

5. Gin Festival on Saturday, July 8 at Lighthouse, Poole. Prepare to have your taste buds tantalised by the 120 different gins from around the world.

6. New Milton's Pedal Car Grand Prix is set to return on Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9.Held at the Recreation Ground

8. The New Forest Folk Festival at Powells Farm near Romsey from July 5 - 9th.

9. The 13th Boogie Woogie Festival at Sturminster Newton with 35 events in ten different venues including swing dance, cafe gigs and workshops from July 7 to 9.

10. The inaugural Sandfest at Sandbanks beach from 2pm to 10pm includes a Faithless DJ set and Tinie Tempah as well as renowned international DJs and other live acts.
