It was a busy weekend across Dorset. 

From the Bourne Free pride parade, which painted Bournemouth a beautiful shade of all things rainbow, to an actual Rainbow Run at Upton Country Park, thousands of people have turned out to support events across the weekend.

And we were there to capture as many as possible.

Saturday's sun brought smiles to the faces of everyone at Bourne Free's extravaganza.

The Purbeck Pirate Festival at Swanage was also a big hit of the weekend with families, as organisers braced themselves for around 18,000 visitors.

Music lovers were treated to two days of live music in Christchurch for the annual Christchurch Festival

While in Burton, the village turned out in force for the annual Scout Carnival, raising money for the new Scout Hut

On Sunday, around 700 cyclists took to the roads around Dorset to raise money as part of the Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride.

Others chose to keep fit by signing up to the 3k Rainbow Run at Upton Country Park in aid of Naomi House and Jacksplace. Pelted with powder paint, the event was sold out well in advance.

Not for the faint-hearted, the Diverse Abilities Totally Wiped Out inflatable assault course was also part of an action packed Sunday. Held at Canford School, it is hoped £18,000 was raised at the event.

And last but not least, thousands flocked to Southbourne's Shake and Stir Festival this weekend for dancing, music, fun and a performance from Mungo Jerry
