WORK is under way to build a new slip road for Bournemouth University's Talbot Campus.
The access road off the Boundary roundabout is a central feature of the university's £3 million campus infrastructure revamp project.
Providing a direct route to student accommodation in the southern part of the campus, the new road will connect up with Gillet Road and with extended car parks.
At present the works are not interfering with traffic flow on the roundabout, although at some point the road will need to be linked up.
Other parts of the project include a new centralised waste facility and a bus hub.
The university plans for the project are to be completed by January 2018.
