CANINES will be able to enjoy an ice cream cone with their owners at the beach this summer.
The Prom Café at Bournemouth’s Pier Approach is now catering for dogs with specially-designed iced treats by Billy & Margot.
Coming in small, edible tubs, the treats are dairy free, grain free, and contain real fruit, aloe vera, flaxseed oil, and coconut.
Andrew Wood, catering manager at Bournemouth seafront, said: “Dogs love the summer just as much as we do. It’s the best time of year for them to be out, about and enjoying all that the season has to offer. With vast amounts of exercise combined with the warm weather, we all want our furry friend to stay cool, hydrated and, of course, happy.
“As well as the healthy nutrients, the iced treats provide a refreshing way for your dogs to cool down, and it’s great for your pet to release endorphins.”
Billy & Margot has had the help of Dragon’s Den’s Deborah Meaden. In just three years, the company has won ‘Best Dog Product of the Year’ and has become known as one of the top dog treat brands in the UK.
Dog owners will be able to purchase a tub of doggy ice cream at the Prom Café for £3 each. The tubs come in three flavours: strawberry and apple, apple, banana and carrot, and honey and banana.
