A man was arrested following a police chase which ended in St Leonards.
Hampshire police arrested a man at Boundary Lane, off the A31, on Friday morning after they received reports of a stolen car.
An Audi TT had been reported stolen in Portsmouth at 7.25am and was found travelling on the M27.
A 20-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested and remains in custody.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “The vehicle was located on the M27 in the Hampshire area and was pursued until it came to a stop in St Leonards.”
