AN overturned lorry at Stag Gate, near Sturminster Marshall, caused the closure of a significant section of the A31 this morning.
Dorset Police and paramedics were called the single-vehicle incident around 7.20am.

The lorry, which was carrying scrap metal, appeared to have slid onto its side spilling debris along the side of the road.
A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

The A31 was closed for several hours to allow recovery of the truck, with diversions in place at Bere Regis and the Roundhouse Roundabout.
