SUMMER is now in full swing and there’s plenty of events taking place in Dorset this week.

6. Vdub at the Pub Festival, now in its ninth year, takes place from June 23 to 25, next to Julian’s Bridge in Wimborne.

7. The Glenn Miller Orchestra, led by Ray McVay and featuring the Swing Time Jivers and The Polka Dot Dolls, is at Bournemouth Pavilion on Sunday, June 25.

8. The second Bright for Sight Night Run takes place along Boscombe seafront in aid of Dorset Blind Association on Saturday, June 24.

9. A new food and music festival kicks off on Sunday, June 25 at Littledown Park from 11am to 5pm with local bands, food stalls, arts and crafts and children’s entertainment.

10. A giant puppet, mask and costume community parade by Carnival of Objects to celebrate the sea starts at Boscombe Pier at 4pm on Sunday, June 25.
