A person was winched to safety after he became unwell onboard a boat in Poole Bay.
The RNLI Poole lifeboat was called at 5.45pm to a 26 ft yacht where three people were aboard.
The casualty was initially unconscious but had since come round, the crew found who had requested help from the rescue helicopter.
The winchman was eventually brought onboard the vessel where he administered first aid to the casualty.
The yacht continued onto Poole Harbour in the direction of Poole Quay where an ambulance was on stand by and the casualty was transferred to the paramedics.
Poole Lifeboat volunteer Dave Riley said: “This service demonstrated great multi agency working between all assets, lifeboats, Coastguard helicopter, paramedics and mobile coastguard, we all wish the lady a speedy recovery.”
