A STRETCH of the A31 will be closed for around two weeks as a wider programme of works on the road continues.
Highways England will be shutting the westbound carriageway of the A31 between the exit slip road and the entry slip road on the A338 Ashley Heath Interchange, and both carriageways of the A31 between Woolsbridge Roundabout and Boundary Lane Roundabout.
The closure will be in place between 9pm and 6am, starting on or after Monday, July 3, officials say.
Contractors will be carrying out resurfacing work, road marking, as well as the re-installation of studs and loops.
Traffic heading westbound and requiring access to properties affected by the road closure will be directed to leave the carriageway and re-join.
Through traffic will be diverted via the A338, B3073, A347, and A348.
Traffic affected by the closure will be diverted using the A341, A349, A35, and A350.
