Ringwood Family Fun Day returns this Saturday. The event takes place at Carvers Recreation Ground from 1-6pm. Around 5,000 people are expected to turn out for the free event which is run by around 200 volunteers.  There will be everything from bouncy castles, archery, crafts, sporting activities, vintage cars on display, live music, an animal display and a variety of stalls selling local produce and more.

Wimborne’s annual folk festival takes place in the historic market town on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. At The Minster On Saturday from 10am-4pm, there will be a variety of stalls, cakes, local produce, china and glass, books and jewellery and more. The Minster prayer tent and the Minster itself will be open all day and visitors will have the chance to enter the Chained Library and the once-in-a-year opportunity to visit the Bell Tower. The 10th annual Burton's Armed Forces and Veterans Day takes place on Sunday from 12-4pm at Burton Green. The highlight of the event will be a flypast by the Dakota aircraft. Ringwood Pipe Band, Christchurch and District Band and Miss Annie will provide the music, to include many wartime favourites. The traditional parade through the village will be followed by a drumhead service and the Hop on Inn bar will also return, along with stalls from military charities and organisations and a variety of children’s entertainment. 

Dorset Dinghy Day takes place on Saturday. Starting at Iford Bridge at 12noon, particpants are invited to turn up with a vessel and refreshments for the flotilla down the River Stour which will end at Tuckton Bridge. The event is free. 

Oars at the ready! A Dragon Boat Festival comes to Hengistbury Head Outdoor Centre on Sunday. The fun filled day is open to all who wish to pre-register a team on the water.  Individuals and corporate teams are all welcome. Boats are allocated 16 paddlers and a drummer to race 200 metres alongside the centre. There will be fun for all the family with stalls and refreshments to enjoy. Otter Day is coming to the Stour Valley Nature Reserve on Sunday.

The 51st carnival Corfe Mullen Carnival takes place on Saturday. The procession headed by the Carnival Princess and her attendants will leave Ivor Road at 1pm and travel to the Recreation Ground in Badbury View Road. There will be over 50 stalls and static displays ranging from woodcraft skills to vintage vehicles plus activities for children.

Jazz by the Sea Festival takes place between June 11 and 17 with live performances across Bournemouth and Poole.

The Bournemouth Bus Rally comes to Kings Park on Saturday between 10am and 5pm.  The event will celebrate 115 years of transport in Bournemouth with static displays of 20 plus vehicles, free bus rides, memorabilia and more.
