The Bournemouth Vegan Fair will take place at the BIC on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18. The venue will be open between 11am and 4pm on both days. Admission is £5, or £3.50 for students.

The annual Bournemouth Food and Drink Festival returns to The Square from June 16 to 25. There will be cooking demonstrations, a kids' kitchen on Sunday from 12pm to 3pm, farmer and producers market between Friday and Sunday on both weekends and a street food festival. Tasty treats on offer include gourmet pork roast and burgers, Greek kebabs, grilled cheese sandwiches, Spanish cuisine, curry, churros, paella, Thai dishes, ice cream and chicken wraps from Chicken and Blues.

Get your running shoes on for Poole's Race For Life on Sunday. The 5k takes place in Baiter Park

Arrrrgh. Harry Paye Day comes to Poole Quay on Saturday. The free event runs from 12pm to 6pm promises entertainment and merriment for all the family to enjoy including a grand parade, live bands, multiple stalls and more. 

Classic rock and blues festival Loverocks will be held for the first time at St Leonards Farm and Campsite on Friday and Saturday with live music, camping, glamping and a range of entertainment. To buy tickets visit sanctuarypromotions.co.uk/tickets

An open air cinema has come to Upton Country Park's walled garden. Cult Screens kicked off their three-day movie fest on Thursday with The Lost Boys which was followed by Star Wars: Rogue One on Friday and finishes with  Dirty Dancing on Saturday. There are deckchairs, bean bags, blankets, cocktails, craft beers and ciders along with wine, popcorn, gourmet street food and full HD projection. Boscombe will host Britain's first international beach rugby tournament on Saturday and Sunday.  The 5s tournament, sanctioned by the European Beach Rugby Association (EBRA), will see teams of men and women from across the world battle it out on the beach.

Free activities will take place at Hengistbury Head on Saturday and Sunday for the Great Wildlife Exploration BioBlitz when as many different species of birds, bugs, plants and insects will be identified. For information call 01202 451618.

A coffee morning in aid of the RNLI is being held at Highcliffe Methodist Church hall from 10am to 12.30pm on Saturday, with bric-a-brac, cakes, jewellery, jigsaws, books and souvenirs. Admission is free.

St Martin's School are having their summer fayre on Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm. There will be lots of stalls plus refreshments, a raffle, bouncy castle, children’s games and a tombola. Admission is 50p. For more information call 01202 292011.

Blandford YFC Charity Transport and Heritage Rally will be at Merley Hall Farm, Julians Road, Wimborne, between Friday and Sunday. There will be a wide range of exhibitors from steam engines to tractors, displays and demonstrations and music. 

The grounds of Mayfield will open for the National Gardens Scheme this Sunday from 2pm until 5pm. Admission is £3.50 or free for children.

The Oakdale Library Gardens Association is hosting a Summer Fayre on Saturday at Oakdale Library between 10.15am and 12.15pm. The fayre will include children's crafts, games, Bournemouth National Science Society with a selection of insects, Chestnut Nursery plants as well as performances by local students in the garden. It will also mark the opening of a new children's adventure trail.

A summer fete will be held at the Iford United Reformed Church in Ropley Road on Saturday from 11am until 2.30pm. Stalls will include jewellery, sweets, books, plants, cakes and toys and there will be a barbecue, light lunches and entertainment from the Dolphin Marching Band.

A community fun day will be held at Lansdowne Church, currently based in Woodbury Avenue near Castlepoint on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm. Entry is free and there will be bouncy castles, stalls, a café, live local entertainment, free BBQ and a kids' soft play area. Donations will be divided between the Townsend Children's Project and Bournemouth Foodbank.
