Fire crews called to Bournemouth 7s Festival
FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a fire at Bournemouth 7s Festival this morning.
Three crews from Christchurch, Redhill and Ferndown attended the festival at Chapel Gate just after 10am.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the fire started in one of the catering stalls in a gazebo at the event.
He said: "Three crews were sent because of the size of the festival.
"The fire involving fats and an area of tarpaulin but was thankfully out before the arrival of the crews.
"No firefighting action was needed. Crews carried out an inspection of the area."
