A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a crash in Poole.
Police and paramedics were called to the collision at Parkstone Road, close to the rear of Poole Hospital, shortly after 1pm.
It involved a black Mitsubishi Colt and a red BMW motorbike.
Officers temporarily closed the eastbound carriageway while the scene was dealt with.
The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries are not yet known.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said they were called at 1.03pm.
One ambulance attended, with one casualty taken to Poole Hospital for treatment.
Recovery was requested for both vehicles.
The local authority was also been involved as there is petrol on the road.
