THREE fire engines were called to Poole High Street this afternoon.
Crews were summoned to reports of a fire in Superdrug at around 5pm.
Despite the initial 'as a precaution' response, the blaze turned out to be an "overheated transformer in a light fitting", the service said.
The fire has been extinguished and the area made safe.
