OFFENSIVE graffiti including a swastika and an anti-Semitic slogan was painted on the outside wall of a Bournemouth supermarket.

Police are looking for the criminals responsible for daubing the Nazi symbol along with obscene words at Waitrose in Winton.

A statement from police said the graffiti was believed to have appeared on the Wimborne Road shop in the early hours of Sunday, May 7.

North Bournemouth Deputy Neighbourhood Inspector Jonathan Wasey said: “At this time the offender is unknown and we seek any information, however minor, in order to identify and speak to the person responsible.

“The local Neighbourhood Policing Team has been working with partner agencies, including the local authority and the local traders’ association, to remove the offensive material and help prevent further mindless acts from being committed.

“Such acts of racially aggravated graffiti are offensive, constitute a crime and will be investigated in every case.”
