AN inquest has been opened into the death of a man who is believed to have been standing in the middle of a dual carriageway when he was involved in a crash.

Connor Heath Johnson, 22, of Ringwood suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision at the bottom of Poulner Hill on the A31 in the early hours of on May 7.

An enquiry has been launched into the 22-year-old's death and a full inquest is due to be heard on October 25 by Hampshire coroners.

Mr Johnson, who lived in Hightown Gardens, was the driver of a silver Peugeot 206 estate which was originally believed to have been involved in the collision.

A coach, operated by Poole-based company Seaview, was confirmed as having been involved in the collision.

In a statement released through Hampshire police, Mr Johnson's family said: "He is at peace now having suffered anxieties for the past couple of years.

"He was our loving son and will always remain in our hearts."
